What are Clear Aligners?
Clear aligners are custom-made, removable trays that gently guide teeth into a planned position over time. They’re a discreet option for suitable cases — and the quality of the result depends on good diagnosis, realistic goals, and consistent wear.
What Aligners may help with
Clear Aligners may be considered for:
Mild to moderate crowding
Small gaps or spacing
Minor bite issues (case-dependent)
Teeth that have shifted over time (including after previous braces)
Not all cases suit aligners — your bite, gum health, root positions and the type of movement required determine what’s realistic.
How it works
1. Consultation & assessment — we check teeth, gums, bite and goals, and confirm if aligners are appropriate.
2. Digital scan & planning — we design a step-by-step movement plan.
3. Aligners + attachments (if needed) — you’ll receive a sequence of trays, sometimes with small tooth-coloured attachments to improve control.
4. Progress reviews — we check movement, make adjustments if required, and plan refinements when needed.
5. Retention — retainers help hold the result once treatment finishes (this is not optional if you want stability).

Important things to know
Wear time matters. Aligners need to be worn as prescribed for the plan to work.
Treatment time varies.Treatment time varies depending on complexity and how consistently aligners are worn.
Refinements are common — sometimes we do extra trays to fine-tune the finish.
Retainers are part of treatment to help hold the result long-term.
We’ll discuss limitations, risks, and alternatives before starting.
